The ECO-DINNER in the Vineyard is a new event at this year’s Likof, organised in collaboration with the Provincia. In the context of a project called “With Love. Reduce, reuse, recycle”, the local governing body, Provincia di Gorizia, has previously organised ECO-DINNERS together with many restaurateurs in the area. The team behind Likof have incorporated the ecological principles of this initiative (zero food miles produce, waste limitation, responsible use of water and energy resources etc.) in their own ECO-DINNER, adding a few characteristics: wine from the Vinoteka Colli di San Floriano will be served at the meals and the dinners will take place in an atmospheric location, i.e. a vineyard. The Societa’ Gastronomica Friulana (a local gastronomic society) will look after both the menu and the cooking itself.

The vineyard which will serve as location is very close to the main square in San Floriano and it has a view of the western and Slovenian parts of Collio. The ECO-DINNER will take place the 6th June 2015 at 7pm. In the event of rain, the dinner will still be held, but in a sheltered spot in the proximity of the vineyard. Booking is essential, as space is very limited.
