But it would be wrong to say that they never take time off for fun, rest and relaxation. The SSKJ Slovenian dictionary gives the following definition for the word Likof :
“Particularly in reference to country settings; a large feast, or the libations that take place after arduous work has been completed, or to celebrate a successful transaction. “
A very demanding job for farmers and wine makers of the Collio comes in the month of June, when the cherry harvest comes to an end. The Likof celebration has survived over the centuries, but in different forms, this year we are celebrating the tenth edition in its current version. Wine tasting, and traditional meals in modern day settings, live music and show-cooking are the most visible elements of the way in which Likof remains faithful to its long standing customs and traditions.
The fine wines on display are the result of the hard work of San Floriano’s wine makers. The traditional dishes offered on this occasion are prepared with the pride that stems from a rich tradition that is passed down from one generation to another.

However, its roots are much older; mediaeval records show a similar union existed in 1482.

The renewed collaboration among winemakers springs both from the need to promote the territory together and to organise high-end events. To this end, the association has created a leaflet with information regarding all local producers, guesthouses, B&Bs, osterias and restaurants. Other initiatives have included information posters positioned at strategic points of access to the village.

Over the years, the Associazione Vinoteka Colli di San Floriano (Association Vinothèque Hills of San Floriano) has organised various projects, starting with those surrounding the discovery of a marriage settlement from 1632 which proves the local origin of the Tocai friulano. Thus in 2001, the local wine was made to gush from the Wine Fountain dating back to the 1700s.

Če v Slovarju Slovenskega knjižnega jezika poiščemo besedo likof lahko preberemo sledečo razlago “zlasti v kmečkem okolju pojedina, pitje po končanem večjem (gradbenem) delu, po sklenjeni kupčiji”. Večje končano delo je za sadjarje in vinarje v Brdih na pragu poletja pomenil zaključek pobiranja češenj meseca junija.
Praznovanje Likofa se je tako, čeprav v novi obliki, ohranilo do danes, letos že desetič v tej obliki. Degustacije vin, domače dobrote, glasbena kulisa in show cooking-i so najbolj izpostavljeni vidiki sodobnega Likofa, ki pa ohranja pristno navezanost na tradicijo. Vina potrjujeno vrhunskost števerjanskih vinarejev, ponujene jedi pa pričajo o žlahtnosti, ki se prenaša iz roda v rod

V srednjeveškem arhivu vasi lahko namreč zasledimopodobno bratovščino že leta 1482.

Prenovljeno partnerstvo vinarjev se je rodilo iz želje po skupni promociji teritorija in organizaciji dogodkov. Tako je društvo ustvarilo katalog z vsemi podjetji, stanovanji, B & B, gostilnami in restavracijami v okolici, ter med drugim uresničila serijo panojev, ki se nahajajo na ključnih točkah dostopa do vasi.
V preteklih letih je Društvo Vinoteka Števerjanski griči organiziralo različne pobude, začenši s tistimi, povezanimi z odkritjem dokumenta iz leta 1632, ki je priča o domačem izvoru Tokaja, vinske sorte, danes imenovane Tocai friulano.

Infatti anche lui gode del meritato riposo e trova il tempo per svagarsi. Nel vocabolario della lingua slovena alla voce “likof” si legge “banchetto, bevuta dopo la conclusione di importanti lavori (edilizi) o di affari, soprattutto nel contesto agreste ”. Una tale occasione per i frutticoltori e i viticoltori del Collio è sicuramente la raccolta delle ciliegie nel mese di giugno.

Sankt Florian- San Floriano del Collio (Italien) liegt an der Grenze mit Slowenien im Herzen des italienischen Collio und begeistert die Besucher,  die aus nah und fern kommen.  Ein natürlicher und eindrucksvoller Urlaub bereichert den Besueber beim Weinverkosten oder bei den hausgemachten Speisen. Aus dem geschichtlichen Kulturgut von Sankt Florian, erkennt man daß der Tocai eine Rebe ist.

Ihr sollt euren Rhythmus verlangsamen und gonnt euch einen Ausmug mit der gelben Vespa des Collio oder mit dem Fahrrad auf dem Fahrradweg des Collio.  Oder kommt zum Likof,  wo ihr alles in einem Tag erleben könnt.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Vinoteka” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Die Gesellschaft Vinoteka existiert seit einigen Jahren zwischen den Weinproduzenten von Sankt Florian und Oslavia (Görz). Die Union hat aber alten Ursprung, das ist aus den mittelalterlichen Dokumenten aus dem Jahr 1482 ersichtlich.

Die erneuerte Zusammenarbeit soll die Zone für Weinverkostungen und Speisen fördern. So hat die Vinoteka ein Prospekt herausgegeben, in dem alle Weingüter, Wohnungen, Bed&breakfast, Gasthäuser und Restaurants enthalten sind. Es wurden auch eine Reihe von Hinweistafeln in den wichtigen Schlüsselpunkten aufgestellt.

Im Verlauf der Jahre hat die Vinoteka von Sankt Florian verschiedene Initiativen organisiert,  z.B.  die Entdeckung des Erbvertrages aus dem Jahr 1632,  in dem der Ursprung des friaulanischem Tocai als autochthone Rebe anerkannt wird. So floß dieser lokale Wein im Jahre 2001 aus dem Weinbrunnen,  der aus dem 17Jhdt,  stammt.
